The government is set to help out companies that have been selected under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for telecom and networking products in a bid to boost the local manufacturing ecosystem. As per industry sources, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is reaching out to all the 42 companies that have been selected under the PLI scheme to address any bottlenecks faced by them. 

In addition, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Railways, will be meeting the India chief executive officers (CEOs) of all these firms including Nokia, Samsung, Jabil (Ericsson) and Tejas Networks in the first week of December 2022, in order to understand how the government could further support them.
