The government has inducted three new members into the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) examining spectrum-related subjects, including auction of spectrum and transfer from other sectors.
The EGoM is headed by Pranab Mukherjee, Minister of Finance, and was constituted in 2006.
The three ministers inducted into the eGoM are A.K. Antony, Minister of Defence, Ambika Soni, Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Kapil Sibal, Minister of Communications and IT.
