The Indian government has reportedly begun the discussion over the country’s 5G rollout plans and whether China-based telecom equipment giants Huawei and ZTE should be allowed to participate in the process.

According to industry sources, top government ministers discussed the issue at a meeting held recently.

The talks came along with the discussion to block 59 Chinese apps, which are facing allegations of being a threat to national security.

However, the details of the discussions have not yet been disclosed.
