The government has received cumulative bids of over Rs 1,090.0 billion at the end of the fourteenth day (March 19, 2015)  and 86 rounds of the ongoing spectrum auctions. The auction will resume on March 20, 2015.

So far, about 89 per cent of the spectrum on sale had been provisionally allocated. According to the Department of Telecommunications, on the fourteenth day, robust bidding was witnessed in the 800 MHz and 1800 MHz spectrum bands.

HIgh bidding activity was witnessed for Punjab circle in the 900 MHz band and Tamil Nadu circle in the 1800 MHz band. In the 800 MHz spectrum band, maximum bids were received for the Delhi, northeast and Maharashtra circles. Meanwhile, the low demand was witnessed for spectrum in all circles in the 2100 MHz band.
