The government of Haryana is set to align the state’s right of way (RoW) rules with that of the central government in line with the Communication and Connectivity Infrastructure (CCIP) Policy.
According to the government, this alignment will greatly benefit the delivery of 5G services across the state.
Further, it stressed on the importance of obtaining prior permission for any excavation required for laying base transceiver stations (BTSs), cables near roads, streets, traffic lights, buildings and bus stands. To this end, the state’s chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal directed officers to establish a robust monitoring mechanism to effectively oversee this process.
