The government has reportedly initiated the process of appointing a new chairperson of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The regulator?s current chairperson, Dr J.S. Sarma?s term will end in May 2012.
The search and selection panel will reportedly be chaired by Ajit Kumar Seth, Union Cabinet Secretary and includes Pulok Chaterji, the Prime Minister’s principal secretary, Sam Pitroda, amongst others.
