Government extends P.K. Purwar’s additional charge as MTNL’s CMD till October 2022

The appointments committee of the cabinet has extended P.K. Purwar’s additional charge as chairman and managing director (CMD) of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) for a period of one year till October 2022.

As per the official order, Purwar’s tenure has been extended with effect from (w.e.f) October 15, 2021 till October 14, 2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Purwar is also the CMD of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
