According to Dr Chandrasekhar Pemmasani, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, the government has disbursed a total incentive of Rs 3.32 billion to 18 out of 42 beneficiaries under the telecom Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme as of October 31, 2024. The beneficiaries have reported employing 25,359 individuals and achieving total sales of Rs 687.08 billion, which includes exports around Rs 130 billion.

As per the minister, Jabil Circuit India leads the list of beneficiary companies with an incentive of Rs 786.2 million, followed by Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited with Rs 469.2 million, Tejas Networks at Rs 326.6 million, Flextronics Technologies (India) with Rs 306 million, Commscope India at Rs 259,5 million, NeoLync Tele Communications receiving Rs 217.9 million, and Rising Stars Hi-Tech with Rs 203.3 million. Meanwhile, Sanmina-SCI India, primarily owned by an RIL group firm, received Rs 120 million, while GX India was awarded Rs 117.4 million. Other companies received incentives of less than Rs 100 million.

Among the 42 beneficiaries, there are 28 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The beneficiaries have committed to investing a total of Rs 40.14 billion under the scheme, with non-MSMEs investing Rs 36.29 billion and MSMEs contributing Rs 3.69 billion as of October 31.
