According to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the government is aiming to increase electronics manufacturing capability to Rs 24 trillion by 2026. He said that the initiative would create one million jobs.

Speaking at an event in Bengaluru, Chandrasekhar said that the country is today at an inflection point. The minister said that at least 1.5 million young Indians from Karnataka will be given training in industry-relevant future-ready skills.
