Google has affirmed that the company remains committed to building products in India. Reflecting on the recent $10 billion Google for India Digitization Fund, the company has asserted its confidence in the future of India.

Meanwhile, the company strives to line up with its mission of building a more equitable internet for everyone. Earlier, Google had launched its payments service, Tez, in India, which it later renamed Google Pay and launched in other countries.

Besides, for other businesses like YouTube, Google is using its user base in India to test some of the commerce ideas. Lately, Google announced a $1 billion investment in telecom company Airtel.

Further, over the last few years, Google has increased its focus on developing and creating products for India which it then takes to other global markets. The offline feature for Google Maps was first tested in India. In 2022, the company is expected to stay focused on evolving its knowledge and information products, including Search, Maps and YouTube.
