Google has partnered with Reliance Industries’ artificial intelligence arm, Reliance Intelligence, to provide select Jio users 18 months of free access to the Google AI Pro plan, as part of efforts to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in India, especially among younger users.
The plan offers access to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model within the Gemini app, higher image generation limits via the Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, expanded use of Notebook LM, and 2TB of cloud storage. The offer, valued at Rs 35,100, mirrors Google’s broader push to make its premium AI services more accessible in emerging markets.
As per Reliance Industries chairman, Reliance Intelligence’s mission is to make AI-powered intelligence services available to all 1.45 billion Indians. Reliance has also expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to offer access to tensor processing units (TPUs), allowing enterprises to train and deploy advanced AI models.
Additionally, Reliance Intelligence will build and deploy its own pre-built enterprise AI agents on Gemini Enterprise, adding to the growing ecosystem of Google-built and third-party AI tools available to Indian users.
