The US-based multinational, Google has launched an application called ‘Google My Business’ in India to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) enhance their online presence. With the application, the SMBs will be able to update their business information on Google Search, Maps and Google+ for free in both Hindi and English.
It would allow the business units which do not have a website to create online business information and manage it from their smartphones and computers.
Further, the company is planning to invest in the support services through a local partner network and local language call centers.
Meanwhile, Google also announced the finalists for the Google SME Heroes award. This initiative aims to showcase and celebrate local, small and medium businesses that have used the internet to grow their business.
