According to Pramod Sawant, chief minister, Goa, the state will install 62 new mobile towers as part of its telecom policy.

Further, the minister added that over 138 mobile towers will be set up in the second phase of the plan followed by 62 tower installation in the first phase.

This will greatly improve connectivity and benefit all sections of the society, he added.

In August 2020, the state government had notified the Goa Telecom Infrastructure Policy 2020 with an aim to encourage establishment of modern telecommunication infrastructure.
