The Philippine-based service provider Globe Telecom has posted results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013.

For the period under consideration, the operator?s net profit stood at 656 million pesos. The operator?s revenue in the first quarter of 2013 stood at 21.4 billion pesos. The company?s revenues were driven by encouraging growth registered by its data services business.

Further, for the period under review Globe Telecom registered mobile revenues and wireless broadband revenue of 17.12 billion pesos and 2.49 billion pesos, respectively.

For the quarter ended March 3, 2013, Globe Telecom?s mobile subscriber base and broadband subscriber base stood at 35.1 million and 1.7 million.
