According to 4G Americas, globally the number of commercial long term evolution (LTE) networks will reach 350 by end of 2014. At present, there are 300 commercial LTE networks in 107 countries.

Further, Europe (East and West) comprises the highest number of LTE networks. The region has 115 LTE networks which support 39.8 million LTE connections. It is followed by Asia Pacific and North America with 54 and 49 LTE networks supporting 103.6 and 125.8 million LTE connections, respectively.

Other regions including Latin America and Caribbean, Africa and Middle East have 40, 23 and 10 LTE networks, respectively. Further, Latin America and Caribbean region supports 3.6 million connections, whereas Africa and Middle East support 1.9 and 2.9 million LTE connections, respectively.
