According to a report by Dell’Oro Group, the global telecom capex is expected to decline at 2-3 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next three years, even though the positive growth in India will not be enough to cancel out the sharp capex cuts in North America     .

As per the study,  the worldwide telecom capex (which is the sum of wireless and wireline telecom carrier investments) increased at a low-single-digit rate year-over-year in nominal US dollar      terms in 2022, down from a high-single digit growth in 2021. The report stated that the total capex growth was slightly lower than 3 per cent increase it initially projected partly due to the stronger US dollar.
