According to the research firm Gartner, the global shipments of devices including computers, tablets and mobile phones, are expected to grow by 3.9 per cent to reach 2.50 billion units in 2015. The report has also forecasted that the mobile phone segment will grow by 3.7 per cent from 1.83 billion in 2014 to reach 1.9 billion in 2015.

Meanwhile, in the operating system market, Android surpassed a billion shipments of devices in 2014 and will continue to grow in 2015, with a 26 per cent year over year increase.
