Gemini Communication has bagged a contract from BSNL to supply, implement and maintain the latter’s rural mobile Wi-Max network.

The first phase will cost an estimated Rs 670 million and will see new infrastructure being rolled out in seven circles: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Orissa. Approximately 25,000 villages are expected to be connected through the project.
