First Pacific Company is planning to sell its 6.3 per cent stake in Philippines-based telecom firm PLDT to Japan’s NTT Group by end 2007. The NTT Group currently holds 15.5 per cent stake in PLDT, of which half is held by NTT’s mobile unit DoCoMo, and the other half by the internet-based services unit NTT Communications.
