US-based cybersecurity firm FireEye, has appointed Shri­kant Shitole as senior director and country head of its India operations. In the past, Shitole has held senior roles in IT companies such as Cisco, Nelco (Tata Enterprise), Avaya, Sify and Symantec. FireEye offers solutions to protect organisations against cyberthreats. The company has a research and development operation centre in Bengaluru.
