Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reportedly asked central public sector undertakings (PSUs), including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to clear payment dues of vendors and contractors.
Further, she has urged them to spend the budgeted capital expenditure without any delay.
She added that she understands the concerns raised by vendors on overdue payments and stated that she has held more than five meetings in the last three months with all central PSUs to ensure that they clear all dues except those under litigation.
