According to a latest survey by Thales, a French aerospace and cybersecurity firm, nearly 70 per cent of Indian enterprises view the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem as the biggest generative AI (GenAI) related security risk.
The study highlights that while innovative GenAI use cases are emerging across sectors, the parallel rise in AI-driven cyber threats is making it increasingly difficult for companies to implement security measures that can keep up with the pace of change.
Other major concerns cited by Indian respondents include lack of integrity (66 per cent) and trustworthiness (55 per cent) in GenAI systems.
Despite these risks, it is noted that 72 per cent of Indian enterprises are actively investing in GenAI-specific security tools, with 16 per cent doing so through newly allocated budgets.
