Excitel has announced the launch of its services in the city of Mumbai. With the addition of Mumbai, the fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) internet service provider is now offering its affordable, ultra-high speed and unlimited broadband services across 29 cities in the country. Excitel aims to replicate its success in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and other cities by offering high-speed internet with quick service resolution in Mumbai and by catering to both structured and unstructured areas of Mumbai.

With the growing dependence on high-speed, unlimited and uninterrupted internet for all activities- education, work, entertainment, play- Excitel has introduced a 400 Mbps speed data plan for the city of Mumbai, starting at just Rs 499/month. The company is also offering 200 Mbps, and 300 Mbps plans to cater to the internet requirements of the residents of Mumbai.

Excitel is one of the fastest internet providers in the country, as per industry reports by Ookla and Netflix. Excitel will be available in Andheri East, Ghatkopar, Chembur, Vikhroli, Vikhroli West, Malad, Kandivali, Goregaon, Goregaon West, Jogeshwari, Mira Road, Dahisar East, Borivali East, Ghansoli, Nerul, Sanpada, Kharghar, Prabhadevi, Carter Road, Mahim, Matunga, Mulund, Bhandup, and Thane by the end of April 2022.

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Raina, CEO and co-founder, Excitel, said, “Wireline broadband has evolved to become the backbone of home connectivity, our work, entertainment and learning at home are fully dependent on it. Mumbai being the commercial capital of the country deserves to be on top of the broadband speed charts, but unfortunately, average speed being delivered in Mumbai is still under 50 Mbps, which is the lowest among big cities of India. So in order to remove this disparity, we are bringing our world-class FTTH service to Mumbai. With our offering that starts with the speed of 200 Mbps at around Rs 500/month, we intend to service the mass low-rise and mid-rise market in Mumbai. It is my belief that our unique business model involving partners and affordable ultra-high-speed plans will usher in world-class speed and service that Mumbaikars deserve.”

Excitel also offers a unique service level agreement for its users that promises all Excitel fibre broadband users a free day of internet on every completed 4 hours of no connectivity. The SLA is a testament to Excitel’s after-sales and customer service commitment. Under the new terms, The SLA is to create new standards for customer resolution while ensuring a swift response to any internet outages that users may face.

Excitel has been working and striving to develop solutions that are customised to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. The internet service provider also recently announced a stay-at-home bundle pack and an entertainment bundle pack, which included free premium memberships to popular over-the-top (OTT) platforms.
