According to Devusinh Chauhan, Union Minister of State for Communications, every uncovered village will be connected with 4G network by 2024.

With regard to the 4G saturation project, Chauhan said that about 38,000-40,000 villages do not have signal. The government has kept the target to complete 4G saturation by 2024. The minister said that 4G network in all uncovered villages will lead to socio-economic transformation and bridge digital divides. Citizen standing at the last mile will be able to check the accountability of government once he is digitally connected. He stated that connecting villages digitally in a way means connecting people with democratic values.

The minister further informed that about 250,000 villages have been connected with optical fibre and 400,000 villages will be connected with high-speed broadband network soon.
