UAE-based Etisalat has emerged as the frontrunner for picking up majority stake in Swan Telecom for $1 billion. The deal will value the telecom operator between $1.7 and $2 billion. Swan Telecom has received spectrum for Delhi, Mumbai, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Orissa.
