Ericsson’s Redback unit has been chosen as the sole supplier by the Mozambique-based operator mCel, for the expansion and upgradation of its IP transport system.

Ericsson’s Redback unit has been chosen as the sole supplier by the Mozambique-based operator mCel, for the expansion and upgradation of its IP transport system. The contract includes Redback’s SmartEdge suite of products which are set to enhance network capacity and manage increased traffic growth.

Deployment has reportedly started and is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of 2008.
