Ericsson will also upgrade Hong Kong-based SmarTone’s network to 42 Mbps HSPA+ by end-2010 under a three-year contract.
The deployment of Ericsson’s multi-mode, multi-standard base stations will enable SmarTone to provide peak speeds of 84 Mbps, besides facilitating the company’s migration to LTE.
