A group of 15 companies, including Ericsson, Microsoft, Jio Platforms (JPL) and Nokia have announced the launch of the Trusted Technology Alliance (TTA). The alliance is based on five guiding principles aimed at enabling the safe use of technology, irrespective of where it is developed.
Other members of the alliance include Anthropic, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cassava Technologies, Cohere, Google Cloud, Hanwha, Nscale, NTT, Rapidus, Saab and SAP.
The five principles require participating companies to adopt strong and transparent corporate governance, uphold ethical conduct and operational transparency, ensure robust supply chain and security oversight, promote an open and inclusive digital ecosystem, and comply with applicable laws and data protection norms.
Further, in a joint statement, the companies said they would work with governments and customers to ensure that the benefits of emerging technologies contribute to public trust while supporting job creation and economic growth. The alliance added that it plans to expand its membership to promote a trusted, interoperable and open technology stack, and to develop common approaches that support national and international efforts to strengthen sovereignty, resilience and competitiveness.
