Ericsson has won an order to maintain a fibre optic network in Brazil for Spanish telecom firm Telefonica. Under the three-year agreement, Ericsson will supervise and provide preventive and corrective maintenance services for Telefonica’s fibre network.
The deal will allow Telefonica to reduce its operational expenditure and focus on its core business. The financial terms of the contract have not been disclosed.
