Ericsson has won a contract from Pakistan-based Warid Telecom to provide a range of new services including field operations and network optimisation. According to the agreement, Ericsson will build Warid Telecom’s network backbone and invest in the latter’s resources and tools. This will enable Warid to provide high quality mobile services and strengthen its position in the market. The deal is an extension of an earlier agreement signed between the two companies.
