
Ericsson has entered into an agreement with Switzerland-based Swisscom to expand and upgrade the latter’s WCDMA/HSPA network. According to the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will provide an HSPA solution that will enable high speed mobile broadband coverage across 90 per cent of Switzerland, allowing peak speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps on the downlink. The contract will enable Swisscom to boost network capacity and provide a host of innovative services to its customers.
