Ericsson has bagged a $1 billion GSM expansion contract from China Mobile. The two have signed a new framework agreement according to which Ericsson will supply core and radio network equipment and other related technical support and services to expand China Mobile’s GSM coverage in 19 regions. The expansion project will help China Mobile boost its network capacity and performance.
