Ericsson has elevated Nicolas Blixell as the vice president (VP) and head of the Gulf Council Countries (GCC) with effect from July 20, 2022. Blixell has been with Ericsson for about 16 years now, holding various leadership positions in Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.
As part of his role, Blixell will be responsible for the GCC excluding Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Prior to the new appointment, Blixell served as the VP and head of Global Customer Unit for MTN Group at Ericsson Middle East and Africa. In 2020 he was also appointed Chairperson of the Board of several key countries providing leadership and guidance to Ericsson executives and employees.
