Sweden based-Ericsson has signed several deals with telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular.

Bharti Airtel has signed an agreement with Ericsson for rolling out its 4G network in India.  In a separate one-year deal, Ericsson is to provide its prepaid self-care solutions to Airtel. The deal covers Airtel’s Night Store that enables customers to buy value for money offers on their prepaid mobile for internet usage and local calling at night (12 midnight to 6 am). 

Ericsson has also been awarded two contracts by Idea Cellular. In the first contract, Ericsson has been appointed for deploying real-time charging systems for Idea?s postpaid subscriber base. Along with this, the operator has awarded an Evolved IP Network (EIN) solutions data charging deal to Ericsson. Ericsson’s EIN solution delivers subscriber broadband services, such as triple-play, 2G/3G/4G and Wi-Fi over a unified IP transport using virtual private networks. 

Earlier, Ericsson was also awarded a five-year deal from Vodafone India for managing pre-paid charging system for the company’s 75 million customers spread across five circles in the country.
