According to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Information Technology, the entire northeast India will have 4G connectivity. He also informed that every part of Nagaland will get access to the internet with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and private companies playing an important role.
Further, the minister said that digital connectivity across the region will usher in development and create new opportunities for young citizens. He stressed that skilling efforts for any district should be designed based on the aspirations of young people. Chandrasekhar informed that the central government would extend skilling initiatives to uplift local skills connected to entrepreneurs and would help in providing funds, resources and an enabling ecosystem. He emphasised that every district in Nagaland must create a district skill development plan that is unique to the district with local talent to enhance local economic opportunity.
