Empowered technology group rejects BSNL’s views showing reluctance to use 4G network from domestic companies

The empowered technology group (ETG) has reportedly declined to consider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) views showing reluctance to use 4G core network from domestic companies.

The group is headed by principal scientific advisor (PSA) K VijayRaghavan.

In a virtual meeting held recently, the panel has not considered BSNL’s suggestions against the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) committee’s recommendations of using core network from domestic companies and building an Indian telecom stack focused on national security.
