The empowered committee on the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the large-scale electronics manufacturing (LSEM) sector has approved another tranche of financial incentives worth Rs 10 billion.
According to industry sources, the actual disbursement to the beneficiary companies would take a few more days. This would be the first disbursement of this fiscal year. In March 2023, the government disbursed Rs 29 billion worth of incentives under the scheme.
The PLI scheme was announced in 2021 with a total outlay of Rs 1.97 trillion.
