An empowered committee headed by Parameswaran Iyer, CEO, NITI Aayog, has approved 32 beneficiaries under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for large-scale electronics manufacturing, of which 10 were approved for mobile manufacturing.
Meanwhile, Padget Electronics Private Limited, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies Private Limited, has become the first mobile manufacturer to get the empowered group’s approval for the disbursement of incentives under the PLI scheme. The company’s claim for Rs 530 million for the first quarter of operations (October 2021 to December 2021) has been cleared by the committee. It is in the process of filing claims for the remaining period.
