
Egyptian wireless service provider Orascom Telecom Holdings has expressed its intention to buy back 23.59 million shares (2.3 per cent of its total shares) at any time between November 2, 2008 and January 30, 2009. Meanwhile, the company has signed an agreement with handset maker Nokia to make Nokia’s mobile content platform, Ovi, available to its 74 million customers in Africa and the Middle East.
