Egyptian mobile operator Etisalat has acquired 100 per cent stake E in two internet service providers (ISPs), Nile Online and EgyNet.
The move comes after a year of negotiations between the operator and the two ISPs. Etisalat, which has obtained a licence for providing 3G services, is aiming to strengthen its presence in the content and internet sectors. The value of the deals has not been disclosed.
