Dr. D. K. Ghosh is stepping down as the CMD of ZTE Telecom India. In a statement, Dr. Ghosh said he is leaving to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions. It is believed that he may lead a new technology company focused on consulting and infrastructure.   

Dr. Ghosh who holds B. Tech, MBA and Ph. D degrees had worked with Philips, the Modi Group, Salora and Siemens before taking over as the CMD of ZTE in 2007.

His association with the telecom and electronics industry spans several decades. He has also authored several publications and is currently chairing the Indo-China Business Council of ASSOCHAM.

His resignation will be effective from March 31, 2011.
