DPDP rules finalised, to be published soon, says Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and IT

The Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and IT has announced that the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) rules have been finalised and will be published in the coming days.

The DPDP rules are part of the framework established under the DPDP Act, 2023, aimed at safeguarding individuals’ personal data. The minister noted that the framework was shaped after more than 3,000 consultations held over an extended period.
