DoT will reportedly award additional spectrum to four mobile operators ?? Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone Essar and Aircel ?? by the end of 2007. According to DoT, the Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing of the Ministry of IT and Communications has proposed allocation of additional spectrum to these operators to take their individual allotments in each circle to 10 MHz.
