DoT to conduct third round of spectrum auctions by January, expects to net Rs 110 billion

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is planning to conduct the third round of spectrum auctions by January 2014, say news reports.

Further, DoT reportedly expects to net minimum revenues of close to Rs 110 billion from the spectrum auction in this fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the government is looking to net total revenues of Rs 408.74 billion this fiscal year from spectrum. This includes the auction amount, the one-time spectrum charge and annual regular licence fee.
