The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) may request the Supreme Court to extend the deadline of the upcoming spectrum auction, say news reports.
Prior to this, the Court had directed DoT to complete the auction by August 31, 2012. However, the process may be delayed as the reserve price for spectrum is yet to be determined.
It is believed that DoT is likely to approach the Supreme Court by August 10 in this context.
