In consultation with the defence ministry and the Airports Authority of India, DoT has simplified frequency allocation procedures.
According to the new norms, all antenna towers located beyond 7 km from the nearest airport, 40 metres above mean sea level of the airport reference point, need not undergo the detailed clearance procedure.
