DoT promotes Bharat Kumar Jog as the Director General (Telecom) and Tushar Kanti Paul as the new Advisor (Technology)

Department of Telecommunications (DoT) official Bharat Kumar Jog has been promoted to the post of Director General (Telecom), effective from May 14, 2021.

In addition to this, Jog will continue to hold his post of Member (S) of Digital Communications.

This development has come in the backdrop of DoT Member (Technology) K Ramchand’s voluntary retirement, which took effect on May 13, 2021.

Following this, the DoT announced that Tushar Kanti Paul, a 1982-batch Indian Telecommunications Services (ITS) Group – A officer will take charge as the new advisor- Technology at the DoT. This will be effective from May 17, 2021
