DoT has issued an ultimatum to Research In Motion (RIM) and has communicated its stance to the Canadian High Commission that Indian operators will be asked to discontinue BlackBerry services unless the company provides monitoring solutions either in the form of encryption keys or by shifting servers to India. DoT has also rejected RIM’s argument that it does not possess encryption keys.
