DoT has given a clean chit to Virgin Mobile’s tie-up with Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) stating that Virgin’s services do not come under the purview of a mobile virtual network operator.

DoT has given a clean chit to Virgin Mobile’s tie-up with Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) stating that Virgin’s services do not come under the purview of a mobile virtual network operator. The move comes after DoT completed a study of the company’s advertisements, SIM card, tariffs and services. The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) had earlier alleged that Virgin has been offering a full range of mobile services like a licence holder, in violation of existing regulations.
