The government has extended the deadline for internet service providers (ISPs) to file monthly and quarterly reports till June 30, 2020. The move comes in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has also suspended any inspection scheduled for ISPs till June 30, 2020. As per DoT, the decision has been taken following request from ISPs for additional time to file the reports.

As per the DoT’s orders, various inspection schedules of unified licence (UL) (ISP), ISP authorisation under UL (virtual network operator), old ISP licence granted before UL regime shall also remain suspended till June 30, 2020.
